Soccer Girl

Elodie started soccer this weekend!  She was excited about it, but also quite nervous.  Her nerves got the best of her during the soccer class, but she finally got brave enough near the end to try a few techniques.  We think she'll warm up to it soon and really enjoy it!  Of course, she enjoys her new socks and shin guards and "pork buns" hair do!

Guilford Fair & Parade

Guilford is 375 years old!  This year's parade theme was happy birthday. We loved it. It was also interesting to compare to our experience last year... the kids are bigger and now we know quite a few people from town! Check out last year at the parade!

Fishing

Hopefully this will become a more frequent tradition for years to come!  First dockside fishing in Guilford for the kids!  Daddy was in heaven!  Ethan, a little skeptical.  Elodie got bored, but was thrilled when she caught a baby bass!

Carnival

Ethan's first carnival ride!  He chose to ride Thomas the Train and Elodie chaperoned - good thing because he stood up and got off of the train in the middle of the ride!  They had to stop the ride and he quickly sat back down with El's help!

Sea Legs Shuffle

There was a big race in Guilford this weekend!  Some of the proceeds went toward's Elodie's new school so there were lots of people we knew involved in the whole thing.  This is Elodie's second race (she ran a little dash in RI in May) but this was her first half-mile clocked run!  She did awesome - came in #42 at 4:51.  SO proud!  (see the results here!)  Grammie, Papa, Aunt Ali and Mommy ran the 5K and Ethan and Daddy cheered everyone on!  Go Team!
