Bakery Date

One of our favorite things to do his hang out with Jasper on the way home from school...  When it's warm, we go to the park.  When it's too cold and too dark we either get pizza or cookies!  Here are some pictures from a recent bakery date.  And a little video to capture the types of conversations that are had on these dates... tigers and princesses!

Meeting Simon

I took Ethan on his first subway ride, which he slept through of course, to visit our new friend Simon in Manhattan.  He was born on December 28 and he is so cute and chill!  Congrats to Dave and Alex!  We had fun catching up and Dave took a ton of pictures of Ethan with his new camera.  He got some of the nicest shots we have of him.  Thanks Dave!

Disney on Ice

As everyone now knows, Elodie LOVES princesses now...  I was able to check off one item on our NYC Bucket List by taking Elodie to see Disney on Ice at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  Win-win for everyone!  It was a special mommy-daughter bonding day as we took the B63 bus 4 blocks down Atlantic Avenue to the new stadium.  We ended up with decent seats, had yummy food and bought some princess gear.  Elodie was patient through the whole show and made it to the finale of princesses galore!

Ethan's Two-Month Stats

Big Boy Ethan!

In one month, Ethan grew 2.3 inches, gained 2 lbs 9 oz and his head grew 1.8 cm!  The chubby little guy now measures 24" (88th percentile,) 12 lbs 10 oz (57th percentile,) with a head of 38.8 cm (38th percentile.)

Potty Girl

 

I think the three packages of princess undies that Elodie got for Christmas has worked it's magic on our potty training progress!  Elodie has been diaper free at home and school for almost two weeks now!  We still have many accidents, but she seems to be loving the challenge (and the prizes she gets...)  This mini-toilet at school just cracks me up - she's quite proud of herself, and so are we!

Noodles

 

Elodie looooves nooooodles!  Especially at Ganso, our new favorite ramen noodle place right around the corner!  She's multi-talented and can eat with both a fork and chopstick!

Bath Time Fun Time

 Someone likes his baths!  Some people think Ethan looks a lot like a Poppe in this picture!  Especially like Great-Uncle David when he was a baby!

Elodie's Baby, Leo

Elodie loves her new brother, but she kind of finds him boring.  She is very proud of him and loves to introduce him to people when he comes to pick her up at school, but she does not like to hold him!  Lately, to try and get her to be more involved with the baby, she has been playing with Ethan's stuffed Leo the Lion.  He is her baby and boy does he have dirty diapers!  She loves to change him, nurse him, and burp him!  I'm hoping in a couple more months she will actually help out a little with Ethan's diapers...  and by 6 months she'll be changing all of his diapers herself!

Ethan & Naomi

Ethan and I have been lucky enough to have weekly play dates with Louise and Naomi!  Naomi is 10 days older than Ethan.  So far, our play dates consist mostly of napping during long walks on the streets of Brooklyn...
