Visiting with Zadia & Aiyana

On MLK Day, we went for a girls-only play date at Zadia and her baby sister Aiyana's house.    I think Elodie's favorite thing about Zadia's house is all her girly accessories!  Bows, bracelets, etc.  And we learned how to play "Ring Around the Rosie" which is song & dance I had completely forgotten about!

Kiren Comes Over

A couple weekends ago, we had lots of social engagements...  Elodie was so excited for Kiren to come over, but then got a little shy whenhe actually came, as did he.  They had fun playing with cars, trains, the kitchen and playing hide & seek. 

Favorite Things

On a cold Sunday, Elodie gathers some of her most favorite things together - 5 blankies, a pacifier, Elmo pillow, football playoffs and Daddy!

First Snow of 2012

This weekend it snowed for the first time in 2012!  I'd say it's the first ever real blast of snow that Elodie was able to get out and enjoy!  She was very excited to see the snow outside when she woke up, and loved marching in it and making snowballs, etc.  Though, she did not like getting COLD HANDS!  Elodie, you must always wear gloves when it's cold outside!  Then you won't scream all the way home and there will be no risk of hypothermia!  After her excursion Saturday morning, she refused to go outside the rest of the weekend!

Hola! Ciao! Hello!

Elodie can say "Hello" in 12 languages, including Arabic, Russian and Swahili!  All thanks to this puzzle that Grammie got her a couple months ago...  Here's a little snippet of her playing and practicing her foreign language skills.

Little Artist

Looks like Elodie takes after her Grammie!  She spent some quality time up in her studio last week.  Doesn't she look so thoughtful about her brush strokes?

A Trip to Evan's House

Over the holiday break, we took a day trip to Leominster, MA to visit the Feeley Family.  This time, Elodie and Evan actually played TOGETHER!  A little bit... mostly Elodie was trying to get away from Evan who was so excited to share his new Christmas toys - including a trampoline!  Here's some pics from playing in the back yard:

We had a Frosty the Snowman cake over the holidays.  Elodie was so excited to see it, and then even more excited when she realized it was ice cream and she could eat it!

21 Months Old!

Elodie is 21 months old today!  Crazy.  At 21 months old, Elodie is pretty awesome... She loves to pretend, talks alot and sings songs.  She sometimes calls us by our real names, Tara and Michael, and she knows it's kind of silly.  She's learning to put her paci away in the crib before starting her day.  She's become a somewhat picky eater, but still likes tons of different kinds of foods - she just wants to eat what she wants, when she wants.  She gives great hugs, sometimes kisses.  She can say hello in ten languages thanks to her favorite puzzle!  She likes school and all her friends.  She likes to talk on the phone.  She gives the cat a hug and kiss everynight before bed.  I could go on...
