Turkey Trot 2011
As is the tradition on Thanksgiving morning, we went to the Turkey Trot at Hammonassett State Beach Park. Last year Elodie mostly stayed in her stroller. This year, she wanted to get out for a better view:

Elodie meets Lena
Cousin Lena was able to come home on Thanksgiving Day, but we all went to visit her at the hospital the day before! Elodie had a runny nose so we couldn't let her get too close to her new cousin. I don't think she really knew what to think of her, but she had some fun chillin' at the hospital anyway.

Sugar Cookies
Elodie stayed at Grammie and Papa's house with Daddy today while Mommy came back to the city to go to work. What are they up to? Frosting cookies! Or more like, EATING frosting (at 10am...)

Happy Birthday Daddy!
On Daddy's birthday, we had chocolate donuts for breakfast, went to Michael's favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and then came home for some presents, cake and balloons. Here's a little video of Elodie - a little too distracted by the donut to really belt it out for "Happy Birthday Daddy!"
Grocery Shopping
Elodie always liked coming to the grocery store with us, but now that the Brooklyn Fare has kid-sized shopping carts, she loves it! And she certainly knows what to do...

Jane's Carousel
Last Sunday we took the bus down to Dumbo and checked out Jane's Carousel and new pavilion at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a fun little adventure - fun bus ride complete with "Occupy Brooklyn" protesters on Fulton Street, pretty East River and bridge sunset views, a beautiful bride taking photos, chocolate chip cookies at Jacques Torres.... Here's some pictures of Elodie. She actually did enjoy the carousel ride even though it looks like she's holding on for dear life in a few of the photos!

Ikea, Ice Cream & Snow
It was a couple weeks ago already, but on October 29 there was a freak fall snowfall and what did we do? Went to Ikea! We needed a new storage unit so we put Elodie to work measuring furniture at the store.

Then after we bought the goods, Elodie insisted on ice cream, even though there was big chunky snowflakes falling outside. The sugar accenuated her excitement about the snow when we went out to the parking lot.

Happy Birthday Aunt Ali
Sunday was Ali's Birthday! We took the subway to the Upper East Side (along with thousands of NYC Marathon watchers) and went out to lunch and had birthday cake at Ali's apartment.
