Gigi's 85th birthday!

Elodie got to meet her Greatgrandma Norma, aka Gigi, an help her
celebrate her 85th! Lucky for Gigi, all of her greatgrandkids were
there!

Trying on wedding dresses with Aunt Lindsey

On Saturday we went to a dress shop in Clinton with Lindsey. It seemed
like she tried on at least 20 dresses, many of which were suitable
options but the last one was it! It's beautiful and Lindsey looks
gorgeous in it! Elodie enjoyed watching Lindsey in all the bright
white gowns and we had some fun with a sash behind the scenes:

First day at Sunflower Day Care

This morning was Elodie's first day of day care.  We will be transitioning over the next 2 weeks, emphasis on WE.  Today she did an hour while mom and dad went to Starbucks and sat anxiously, counting the minutes.  They reported that she did really well for the first 30 minutes, and then started to scream.  When we picked her up, she seemed a bit shaken up and fell asleep in my arms.  They said she did pretty well for her first day, though it seemed like it was pretty tough to us!  Tomorrow she does an hour and a half...
The picture above show how excited she was on the way there and as we left the day care, she seemed to be doing ok, sitting on Naima's lap and playing with another baby...  we didn't take any pictures afterwards as we had our hands full calming her down!

Key Lime Pie

On Saturday we had an adventure day in Red Hook. We went to Steve's
Authentic Key Lime Pie (delicious) and walked around the waterfront
area by the Fairway and Ikea. Elodie loooooves going to the grocery
storey and looking at all the bright colored food!

Playdate at Ft. Greene Park

Today we met up with one of my new mom friends Tracey and her son Oliver.  Ollie was born just a few weeks before Elodie and today was like the first time I ever saw Elodie truly interact with another baby.  It was so fun to watch!
