Water Park

Yesterday we took another trip to the Brooklyn Bridge Park at the end of Atlantic Ave, but the Sand Box was too HOT!  So we had to cool off our feet and butts in the water park section (which is a crazy madhouse of kids and parents.)  Elodie seemed to enjoy the ice cold water and pretty much ignored the chaos around her.  We're hoping this fun experience translates to fun bathtime at home which she's been hating for a while now...  See the fun:

Check out that water!  And all the kids in the background!

Where does the water go to?

Now, let me think about this.

OMG that's COLD!  (there was a sudden surge in water flow...)

For anyone who hasn't seen my two top teeth yet!

Super Cool.

Weekend with Enzo (and his parents)

Oh yeah, and it was Father's Day Weekend!  We had Maki, Jason and Enzo come visit us in Connecticut.  The Dad's went fishing while the Mom's played with the kiddos.  Poor Elodie was pretty sick most of the time, and not her usual happy self, but she definitely enjoyed playing with Enzo.  Here are some pics:

Enzo served the tea

It was good tea, can I have some more?

Sand Box

Here are some pictures from some fun times at the Sand Box down the street at the Brooklyn Bridge Park!  We didn't even know it was there, but Elodie looooved it.  Didn't even flinch when a girl threw sand in her face.  Came home with sand in her hair, ears, diaper....

Prospect Park Zoo

On a 90 degree Memorial Day, we took a quick trip down the street to the Prospect Park Zoo.  Elodie LOVED it and we had a great little family day.  Elodie really seemed to get a kick out of the animals, especially the monkeys of course.  She even tried to communicate with them in their language.  Or is it Elodie's language?  She also liked the llama's at the petting zoo, even though we wouldn't let her pet them in fear that they'd bite her hands off.  We also enjoyed a little picnic on the grass.  We'll definitely be back to visit the animals again soon!

Hi Sea Lion

She didn't really seem to understand what the sea lions were all about.  She just stared at them, studying them for about 5 minutes before she finally cracked a smile...
Finally a smile

the High Line

Last Friday, Michael picked up Elodie early from day care and met me in the city after work.  We met up with Aunt Ali and walked on the High Line park.  We looked at all the cool plants, splashed in the fountain, checked out the Standard Hotel (a.k.a. my life from 2005-2010,) and went out for burgers afterwards!
