LobsterFest

We took Grammie and Papa to the annual Guilford LobsterFest last Saturday!  We are hoping to make this a tradition.  Good lobster, apple pie, live music, running around in the fields, playing on boats....  Great time!  And Elodie LOVES lobster.  She's turning into a true New Englander!

Friday Night at Lenny &Joes

Last Friday, we went out to eat at Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale!  Elodie ate a giant fish stick and lots of ice cream.  They had a carousel with a mermaid-horse that Elodie loved.  She went on three times I think...  And Ethan had his first carousel ride on a lobster with Daddy...

Happy Father's Day!

Me: "What do you think we should do for Daddy for Father's Day?"

El: "I think it's the perfect time for that Prince Suit!"  (or as she pronounces, "plince suit...")

 

Well, we couldn't find a prince suit in time so Elodie ended up choosing some bubble gum pink fishing lures and a box of trash bags - both useful! 

 

Happy Father's Day Daddy!  You're the best father to our children, couldn't ask for any thing more!  We all love you!!!

People keep telling me I should write down all the funny things Elodie says so I thought I'd start some blog posts dedicated to "Conversations with Elodie!"

This morning after watching Curious George "Rocket Ride," Elodie said,

"Mommy, can I go to space with you and Daddy sometime?"

Me: "Well, you have to be an astronaut to go to outer space."

E: "How can I be an astronaut?"

Me: "You have to work really hard and go to astronaut school."

E: "Ok, I'll try my best, mommy.  I really want to be an astronaut.  A princess astronaut."

Elodie and I attended our first birthday party in Guilford!  Her classmate invited both the Pre-K and Preschool classes to her 5th party at the gymnastics center.  Elodie didn't try some of the more advanced apparatus - like the zipline?!  But she had a ball on the trampoline and the foam pit!
