The weather was crazy... it would be pouring rain for 5 minutes, and then the sun would come out!  It made the whole thing kinda fun and memorable...

Our friends Allison and Jed got married over Memorial Day weekend.  We took Elodie with us to Tiverton, RI for the event which included staying at a hotel - a first for Elodie!  (Thanks to Grammie and Papa for babysitting Ethan!)  The wedding was gorgeous and it was great to see lots of old friends.  Elodie even had a date - Enzo!  They had so much fun and were so cute together. 

 

Some funny things Elodie said during the ceremony (in a whisper):

"Mommy, can we play this when we get home?"

"Is that the wedding dress? I wonder what her shoes look like." 

 

And also, when we pulled up to the hotel:

"This is the hotel? It looks like my school!"  :/

 

Trying to Crawl

Ethan has had the army crawl down for a while now and loves to get up on all fours and rock!  He is going to be TROUBLE when he figures it out....

Six Month Stats

Ethan had his 6-month physical today and did awesome.  He barely even cried during his shots.  No more infected ears too!  He smiled and cooed and surprisingly sat still when he needed to. 

 

He's now 16lbs 15oz (down 3 oz since they weighed him 2 weeks ago for his ear infection!) and is 27 1/4" tall.  He's 40th percentile for weight (probably because he doesn't ever stop moving) and 75th percentile for height, tall like his sister! 

 

Happy Half-Birthday!

At six months old, Ethan Leo is the happiest baby I know.  (I may be biased.)  He is constantly either smiling or laughing.  He loves to watch his big sister Elodie and he loves to eat.  Elodie didn't start eating solid foods until she was six months old, but we started Ethan at about 4-1/2 months.  Meanwhile, he now eats 2-5 jars of baby food a day and only 1 bottle at school.  He gets so excited to eat food that he flaps his arms, gasps for air, and sometimes throws up because he eats to much or to fast.  (still trying to figure out the right balance...)  The last couple months since Ethan started day care, he's had quite a few colds, fevers and even a double ear infection.  He's such a little trooper though and smiles at all the nurses and doctors even though he felt so bad.  He loves his teachers and going to school.  He can sit up on his own, and scoots across the floor.  He's really trying to crawl now and giggles whenever I pick up his hips off the floor.  We're trying to enjoy these few weeks before he gets really mobile!  Ethan babbles and screams for fun.  He loves getting his diaper changed and laughs everytime we take his clothes off.  He loves the bath and doesn't even mind when I dump water on his head.  Hmmm.  Is there anything that this baby doesn't like?  Hmmm...  he definitely cries sometimes, but mostly because he's either bored, or tired, or hungry.  Pretty simple...

Papa's Birthday

 

We celebrated Papa's Birthday on Mother's Day at a brunch hosted by Aunt Ali and Rick!  It was delicious, and so nice for us to just drive 5 minutes to visit with family...  We had traditional chocolate mousse.  Elodie loved it and turned in to quite a silly and entertaining little girl who later ran about 20 miles on the beach...  Happy Birthday Papa!

Harbor

Last night we had an early dinner at home and then went for a walk at the town Harbor.  It was pretty chilly, but fun.
